Can you briefly introduce yourselves and the mission of your HR department?

TD SYNNEX Italy is the Italian branch of TD SYNNEX, a multinational operating in the global distribution of IT products. As an HR department, we strive for the highest levels of employee satisfaction. We continuously work on a managerial culture based on empathy, listening, trust, accountability, and self-organization around assigned goals. We also care deeply about organizational well-being: fair pay, access to training and development for all, and psychological support during personal difficulties.

How does people development fit into your company strategy?

For us, people development is a strategic lever both for the organization’s growth (with a positive impact on economics) and as a factor of individual well-being. Anyone who wishes to grow professionally has the right to do so, with the most suitable tools for their personal development.

Why did you launch a personalized development project with Pack? What challenges did you want to address?

We were impressed by Pack’s ability to use AI in a way that was close to people’s needs and deeply human. We had three managers who needed highly personalized support to further improve in their roles and be more effective with their teams. Pack hit the target, achieving the different objectives of each manager.

Why choose personalization over a standard approach?

Personalization is far more effective. A standard approach may work in the initial phases of change management, but since every person has different abilities, skills, experiences, needs, and areas for improvement, these can only be developed through a highly personalized approach.

How was the engagement of the people involved? Any insight or anecdote?

The satisfaction rate of the three participants was among the highest we have ever seen: both in terms of the program itself and the new awareness and tools they immediately applied to their managerial effectiveness. Since the program was based on a timeframe rather than a fixed number of sessions, one participant held nearly twice as many sessions as the others, showing a rare eagerness to learn and grow.

What do you take away from this experience, and what do you plan to continue or expand?

We take away a highly valuable tool, with great effectiveness and an excellent return on investment. For the future, we are waiting to see which programs will be implemented by headquarters before defining next steps with Pack.
